EDDY HALL Shepherd Team Leader/Staff Team Leader
Hilltop Urban Church is pastored not by a solo pastor or even by a team of paid pastors, but by a shepherd team, most of them unpaid. Our shepherds lead our house churches, and Eddy leads the shepherd team. His passions are developing leaders and helping to nurture environments where life transformation happens. Eddy came to Hilltop in 2007 and became head of staff in 2013.
Eddy has devoted his life to helping churches become healthier. He is the CEO of Living Stones Associates (www.living-stones.com), a church consulting team that partners with churches throughout the U.S. and Canada to help them navigate change. Over the last thirty-plus years, Living Stones has partnered with hundreds of churches in more than 30 denominations.
Eddy has spent over 15 years as a full-time writer and editor for Christian publications. His most recent book is THE MORE-WITH-LESS CHURCH: Maximize Your Money, Space, Time and People to Multiply Ministry Impact (Baker Books 2014). His other books include WHEN NOT TO BUILD: An Architect’s Unconventional Wisdom for the Growing Church and WHEN THERE’S NO BURNING BUSH: Following Your Passions to Discover God’s Call.
You can check out his blog here: HeartWork for Christian Leaders.
He and his wife Laura live in Wichita.

ANNA MENDOZA Children's Ministry Team Leader
Anna leads our Children's Ministry Team. Our church was born out of a ministry to neighborhood children, and ministry to children and their families has always been near the heart of HIlltop Urban Church.
Anna and her husband Leo have an amazing ministry as foster parents. For nearly two decades they have officially and unofficially been offering their home as a safety net for hurting and wounded children where they can receive unconditional love. More than two dozen children have passed through their doors and have blessed their lives.
Anna writes poetry as a way of processing what God is teaching her through His Word. Here is a link to one of her poems entitled “The Ugly Beautiful.”

SHON FLORES Worship Team
Shon Flores is our Worship Team Leader. Shon has led worship for over 10 years in his previous church and now with Hilltop Urban Church. He was the founder and leader of the Christian rock/worship band Echoes of the Son and is also a talented songwriter. Some of his songs from their studio album Revive including “Hands,” “Revive,” “Teach Me to Pray,” and “Yours Forever” received radio airplay in the US and other countries.
“I truly believe that when the church worships together in music with knowing, sincere hearts, in that moment we are participating in conjunction with millions of living beings in heaven, in a powerful, miraculous event ordained by God and existing before the creation of creation. It is an experience that has the power to break the hardest hearts and change the most stubborn minds in an instant. In that moment we can experience the true and full passion of God, through Jesus Christ, in the most intimate and personal way and we are changed forever."
“I consider leading worship through music at Hilltop the greatest privilege of my life. I hope that the passion that comes from my heart when I pick up my guitar and sing can provide a small glimpse of my gratitude and that it can be a blessing to the church and, most importantly, to my Savior, and put a smile on His face.”
